2 words: 1#. Bacon 2#.Asparagus
Super simple,easy to prepare and just really, REALLY good. Gluten free and just a wonderful side to pair with just about anything your little heart desires.
1 bundle asparagus
10 slices of hickory smoked bacon
2 tablespoons honey
1 lemon for ( juice freshly squeezed)
1 lemon sliced
2 tablespoons smoked paprika
Salt and pepper
Preheat oven at 375
Take 3 stems of asparagus together, cut woody stem off bottoms and wrap one slice of bacon around each 3 stemmed bundle of asparagus ( you should be able to get at least 10 out of bundle). Place each “wrapped”bundle of asparagus on a rack covered cookie sheet. Drizzle about 2 tablespoons of honey and squeeze one lemon ( sliced in half and squeezed cut side up) all over bundles. Place cut lemon slices to tops of bundles and sprinkle some smoked paprika, salt and pepper on top and put in the oven for 15 mins turning bundles over half way to crisp opposite side. Remove and serve.
Cooking time: 15 to 20 mins
