BLD Monte Cristo Pockets



If you have ever in your lifetime had a “Monte Cristo”sandwich and absolutely loved it than this recipe is gonna be right up your alley!! Super easy using wonton wraps, deli ham,turkey, Swiss and cheddar.. This recipe is great for anytime if day or any meal.. Super easy and is absolutely sure to please.

16 wonton wraps
4 slices of deli ham, turkey chopped and diced small
1/4 cup shredded Swiss
1/4 cup shredded cheddar
1/4 teaspoon chipotle mustard
Veg oil for frying
Powdered sugar for dusting

In a large frying pan pour veg oil in about half way. Heat on med heat.

Take 8 of your wonton wraps and wet the outer edges. Place ham, turkey, Swiss and cheddar in the middle and a tiny squirt of mustard. Take the remaining 8 wonton wraps and place one on top of each of the filling. Press down with fingers around the filling to secure and wet the outer tops. Next fold edges inward pressing down to secure again. Then place pockets in hot oil ONLY 3 at a time. Cooking each side about a min each making sure to flip to the other side once browned. Once all pockets are golden brown, place all on a large platter and sprinkle some powdered sugar on top and serve.

Cooking time: approx 12 mins

Serves 4 peeps ( 2 for each peep)
