Smoked Paprika Crab cakes sautéed in Truffle oil

It’s been an extremely busy week for me so I haven’t really had the chance to come on and blog some of the food I have been making. This is my knock off of a “New England” style crab cake just made with a little extra kick and flavor. Oh and Added the truffle oil as an added bonus. If you do not dig the whole truffle oil fad as of late then by all means use a nice olive or veggie oil.. 👍
3 cups lump crab meat minced
1/2 cup dry Panko bread crumbs
2 egg beaten
2 tablespoons Smoked paprika
2 cloves garlic chopped
1 tablespoon light mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Spicy brown mustard
2 teaspoons hot sauce
2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning
2 tablespoon dry parsley
Truffle oil for sautee
Salt and pepper

In a large bowl, add crab meat, mayo, mustard, old bay, Worcestershire, hot sauce, smoked paprika, breadcrumb, parsley salt and pepper. Mix lightly and add beaten egg and lightly mix ( do not over mix). Form 10 round patties with your hands and place on a cutting board.
Next heat a large pan over med high heat. Add truffle oil and chopped garlic. Once oil is hot, add 4 patties at a time to your pan and sautée each patty for about 2 to 3 mins on each side. Once you beautiful crabby patties are all nice and golden remove and place on a paper towel covered plate. Add some chopped bacon, sour cream and chopped green onion for garnish and extra flavor.

Cooking time: approx 10 mins

Serves 5 peeps ( 2 for each)
